WHY IS THE SKY BLUE?

#1
The sky appears blue to the human eye because blue light from the sun is scattered in all directions by the Earth's atmosphere. This is known as Rayleigh scattering, and it is caused by the interaction of light with gas molecules and tiny particles in the air. The short-wavelength light, such as blue light, is scattered more easily than the longer-wavelength light, such as red, giving the sky its blue color.
