Understanding the CTFA Experience Requirements
The American Bankers Association (ABA), which administers the CTFA program, outlines three experience pathways for eligibility:
Three Years of Experience with Training: This option requires a minimum of three years of wealth management experience within the past seven years, coupled with the successful completion ctfa certification of an accredited training program. The program can be one of the following:
ABA Trust School's Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced Certificates (online or in-person)
Cannon Financial Institute Trust School's Levels I, II, and III
Campbell University's Trust and Investment Management Degree
