Also politicians "A skills based immigration system is the best way forward after Brexit".
Good, apply same rules to all. Currently EU migrants have greater rights to bring foreign relatives here than British Citizens born and bred.
Should it not always be based on skill? Nobody wants high risk unskilled people or convicts in their country. They will only be a burden on the countries system. Skilled people will actually contribute to the success of the country. Common sense you'd think.
The government have then just made it a lot harder for young British people to go work in the 27 countries close by to them.They will need to join the queue with everyone from around the world, as the EU will no doubt reciprocate. What a shame, all over petty misinformation xenophobia and prejudices. The young will overturn brexit. They don't want it.
Does that mean, those of us without skill who were born here, just get to leave for free?

If only the indigenous population were subjected to the same standards.
